Opening of the Green- April 22 2023
The Green opened on Saturday 22nd April and was attended by 24 bowlers who enjoyed a great first season's "Round Robin" competition. It gave the members an opportunity to show off the new team shirt.
The Bowls Club Snowman Drive 2022
A great night at the club. Really good start to the Christmas festivities and enjoyed by all.
A special thanks must go to James Fry for his excellent music. A superb buffet was laid on so thanks to all who provided the food and who supplied the many raffle prizes and thanks to all the team for their hard work in making the event the success that it was.
Look out for the next social event which will probably be in the Spring before we open the green.
Cake Icing Course - Nov 2022
Kath Warnes held a very enjoyable Christmas cake icing course for members.
It raised £90 for club funds.
Presentation Day 2022
The annual presentation of prizes for club competitions took place on Saturday 17th September after members had taken part in a friendly roll-up.
This was then followed by an excellent buffet.
The main outdoor bowling season ends on Monday 19th September but there will be short mat bowling sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the club room, starting on October 4th.
Club Finals 10th Sept 2022
The finals of the club competitions were closely contested on a sunny September day. The winners will receive their trophies on Presentation Day.
