After many impressive victories to reach the Final, club member Paul Ritchie triumphed to win the Coronation Cup.
This 4 wood singles competition is the premier trophy awarded by the Nottinghamshire County Bowling Association.
Paul will now go forward to represent the County at the English Bowling Federation (EBF) 2012 Finals to be held at Skegness in August.
The 2012 bowling season is gathering momentum with a full calendar of fixtures, and the club competitions are proceeding as scheduled.
On 24 June the Club Pairs eliminating rounds were held. The finalists going forward to compete for the Florence Knight Cup are Steve Lester partnered with Elsie English versus Eileen Fairbrother and Dave Marsden (latter couple pictured above).
The villagers shared the national pride in the Queen's Jubilee celebrations by organising a Carnival. Brilliantly organised by members of St Michael's Church the day began at 11.00hrs with a impressive parade of floats routed through the village to the Old School Playing Field.

The bowling season floated in on the wettest April since records began, and we were disappointed when several away matches were postponed due to waterlogged greens. However, the sun always shines on Farnsfield and on Sunday 6th May we hosted our first representative match of the season.
